Swan Lake
Mattie Kelly Arts Center
March 6-7, 2027
Northwest Florida Ballet concludes its 2026-2027 season with the timeless masterpiece Swan Lake at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on March 6 at 7:30 p.m. and March 7 at 2:30 p.m. Originally brought to prominence more than a century ago through the celebrated choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, this enduring ballet has been reimagined and staged by Artistic Director Todd Eric Allen with additional choreography by Dorothy Daniels Lister. It tells the story of Princess Odette, a beautiful young woman bound by an enchanted curse, and Prince Siegfried, whose devotion is tested by the dark sorcerer Von Rothbart.
Presented in two captivating acts and set to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's unforgettable score, Swan Lake showcases the extraordinary artistry of NFB along with international guest artists. Follow this journey through the breathtaking precision of the swan corps de ballet, exciting national dances and two emotionally powerful pas de deux, including the legendary Black Swan’s fouettés. Widely regarded as one of the greatest classical ballets ever created, this unforgettable production offers audiences a spectacular finale to the season.
A VIP party will be held immediately following the performance on March 6, exclusively for season subscribers, cast, staff, and special guests. Swan Lake is brought to you by Season Production Sponsor, the Mattie Kelly Arts Center.
